• A beginning course introducing the student to the use of computers, Windows, and Office 2003.  The impact of computers on society is discussed, along with an overview of the types, classifications, and functions of various computer hardware, software, and peripherals.  The hands-on use of microcomputers is stressed, and the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software is emphasized.

  • This course expands the student's knowledge of microcomputers through the use of various productivity software packages such as word processors, spreadsheets, database management systems, communications, and other available application software. Projects relating to the individual's major and hands-on use of the microcomputer are emphasized. (3 credit hours)

  • ASP.NET is Microsoft platform for developing web applications. Asp.net is a part of Microsoft .NET Framework, which also includes C# and Visual Basic among other languages and contains models for interacting with multiple database via the ADO.NET. To learn web programming the student will have to learn to interact with all the various components to develop a highly interactive dynamic rich web applications. The student will learn how to design, debug, execute and document web programs using techniques of good programming style.
